I come from an audio production background and this debate is constantly raging between the two factions. In my oppinion, it's not the tool, it's what you do with it. I am happy cranking out music on both macs and PCs. When it comes to the question of expense, then Macs do seem more expensive, but you must remember that Apple has large advertising overheads to cover and this is priced into the cost of each mac.
